'Butterfly Soil Glitter' - Abstract Palette Knife Acrylic on Canvas Panel, 8x8 Framed

To create the illusion of butterflies flying in and out of bars of ethereal color, I used a palette knife and methodically decided which colors and tone mixtures would work best for this composition. 'Butterfly Soil Glitter' is an homage to nature - it focuses on butterflies and their fragile beauty. I had the idea to paint this after visiting an insectarium filled with lifeless butterflies. It made an impression on me and I wanted to, in some way, capture the beauty that had been stolen from them, through painting this.
